OCT
An Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan is a quick, painless, and non-invasive procedure used by eye care specialists to capture detailed images of the retina. During the test, you’ll sit with your chin on a support, look at a target light, and the OCT machine uses light waves to take cross-sectional pictures of your eye. The process typically takes about 10-15 minutes and helps diagnose and monitor conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Pressure Checks using iCare
Using the iCare tonometer is a simple and comfortable experience. This handheld device gently touches your eye to measure intraocular pressure (IOP) without the need for anesthetic drops or air puffs. The procedure is quick and painless, taking just a few seconds per eye. The iCare tonometer is designed to be hygienic and convenient, making it suitable for patients of all ages, including children and those who may be anxious about traditional methods. You’ll be able to resume your normal activities immediately after the measurement, ensuring a stress-free and efficient visit to your eye care professional.
Fundus Photos
Fundus photography is a straightforward and painless procedure used to capture detailed images of the back of your eye, including the retina, optic disc, and blood vessels. During the exam, you’ll sit in front of a specialized camera and rest your chin on a support to keep your head steady. The camera uses a bright flash of light to take the photos, which might cause temporary spots in your vision, similar to a camera flash. The whole process takes only a few minutes and provides your eye doctor with valuable information to diagnose and monitor conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. It’s a quick and comfortable way to ensure your eye health is carefully monitored.
Vision Assessment (refraction, best corrected vision, and corneal (K) measurements)
Using the TONOREF 2 and 610 refraction system is a seamless and comfortable experience designed to ensure precise vision assessments. When you are aboard our mobile unit, you’ll sit comfortably while looking at a target inside the device. The TONOREF 2 will automatically measure your eye’s refractive error, corneal curvature, and intraocular pressure in just a few seconds per eye without any discomfort. The 610 refraction system then provides an accurate and comprehensive analysis of your vision. This advanced technology eliminates the need for multiple instruments, making the examination process quick and efficient while delivering reliable results. You’ll have a clear understanding of your vision needs, ensuring the best possible care and recommendations for your eye health.
Digital Slit Lamp Photography
A digital slit lamp provides images and videos of the anatomy and structures of the eye by using a specialty microscope and bright light. This light helps you’re the technician identify and capture clear images of your cornea, iris, lens, and retina. The digital images captured provide your doctor with a detailed view of your eye’s health and help monitor conditions like cataracts and macular degeneration. The process is quick, painless, and offers valuable insights into your eye and overall health.
Visual Field Test
The Olleyes virtual visual field test is a comfortable and efficient way to assess your vision. During the test, you’ll wear a VR headset that immerses you in a virtual environment, where you will follow simple instructions to track and respond to visual stimuli. This non-invasive test provides detailed information about your peripheral vision and helps detect any potential issues early. The whole process is quick, taking just a few minutes, and ensures a thorough assessment of your visual field without the discomfort of traditional methods. It’s a modern, patient-friendly approach to maintaining your eye health.

What Our Clients Are Saying
Don’t just take it from us, let our clients do the talking!
I haven’t been able to drive for years due to diabetic complications. My eye doctor always told me how important regular testing and imaging of the back of my eye was, but I hated bothering anyone for a ride so I pushed my appointments back and didn’t go as often as I should. Of course, things progressed and my eye sight started to decline without intervention. Now I’m trying to keep as sight as much as possible and having the Mobile Eyes unit come to my home has really helped! They’ve detected slight changes and informed my doctor so she can treat my eyes quicker and I can keep my vision longer! It has relieved such a burden having the van come to me. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I may have lost my vision completely. Thank you, Mobile Eyes, for your services!
Mobile Eyes comes straight to my house and does all the tests I would normally wait months to schedule and wait hours to have done in the office! My doctor reviews the results with me with a teleconference visit and makes any adjustments I need to my treatment plan. I save so much valuable time with this type of appointment. This is the way all healthcare should be! Thank you, Mobile Eyes!
I was diagnosed with glaucoma 4 years ago. That meant pressure checks and testing every 6 months for me. Of course, I would put them off due to my work schedule and didn’t think too much of it. After finally going back for some tests, my doctor informed me that I had irreversible damage done due to my pressure not being controlled. Now, I have Mobile Eyes come to my office to check my pressure and do the tests so I can stay ahead of the progression and preserve my sight! They are so friendly, always on time and make the whole process so easy and convenient. I wish this service was around earlier!! Forever grateful.
