Reliable and convenient ophthalmic testing and imaging diagnostics
The ophthalmic equipment installed in our unit is unprecedented in a mobile setting. We can perform a plethora of tests and gather more information than any other mobile ophthalmology clinic.
Mobile Eyes helps reach those patients who are non-compliant with testing and follow-up visits due to time restraints or transportation issues. This is a one stop shop for your patients and helps free up your chair time to be utilized however you see fit, whether that’s for more time for complex cases, increasing patient volume or just more time away from the clinic!
We designed and built our mobile unit with growth and adaptation in mind.
We are able to exchange pieces of equipment as needed, but the typical lineup includes the equipment seen here.
Marco 610
The Epic alone provides a plethora of information from several visual acuity tests including best corrected vs current Rx, glare, near and special VAs. It provides an autorefraction as well as manifest, keratometry, NCT (as back up to our DCT), etc.
Zeiss OCT
The OCT provides a closer look at the posterior and anterior of the eye without even making contact with the eye. It can detect minute changes in the retinal and macular layers providing earlier detection of diseases that significantly affect your patients’ vision.
TopCon NW500
This is more than just a fundus camera. It is a non-mydriatic retinal camera designed to capture high-quality color fundus images, even in ambient light conditions. It features innovative slit-scan technology that ensures sharp, consistent imaging, even with small pupils as narrow as 2mm.
Nidek TonoRef II
The Nidek TonoRef 2 is versatile,
3-in-1 diagnostic instrument. It combines an auto refractometer, keratometer, and non-contact tonometer into a single, compact, and easy-to-use device.
Firefly Digital Slit Lamp
iCare Tonometry
The iCare Tonometer is a state-of-the-art device designed to provide accurate, consistent, and repeatable intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements. The iCare Tonometer is ideal for both clinical settings and field use, offering reliable IOP readings for patients of all ages, including those who are non-compliant. We also measure IOP with the TonoRef for comparison.

What Our Clients Are Saying
Don’t just take it from us, let our clients do the talking!
I haven’t been able to drive for years due to diabetic complications. My eye doctor always told me how important regular testing and imaging of the back of my eye was, but I hated bothering anyone for a ride so I pushed my appointments back and didn’t go as often as I should. Of course, things progressed and my eye sight started to decline without intervention. Now I’m trying to keep as sight as much as possible and having the Mobile Eyes unit come to my home has really helped! They’ve detected slight changes and informed my doctor so she can treat my eyes quicker and I can keep my vision longer! It has relieved such a burden having the van come to me. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I may have lost my vision completely. Thank you, Mobile Eyes, for your services!
Mobile Eyes comes straight to my house and does all the tests I would normally wait months to schedule and wait hours to have done in the office! My doctor reviews the results with me with a teleconference visit and makes any adjustments I need to my treatment plan. I save so much valuable time with this type of appointment. This is the way all healthcare should be! Thank you, Mobile Eyes!
I was diagnosed with glaucoma 4 years ago. That meant pressure checks and testing every 6 months for me. Of course, I would put them off due to my work schedule and didn’t think too much of it. After finally going back for some tests, my doctor informed me that I had irreversible damage done due to my pressure not being controlled. Now, I have Mobile Eyes come to my office to check my pressure and do the tests so I can stay ahead of the progression and preserve my sight! They are so friendly, always on time and make the whole process so easy and convenient. I wish this service was around earlier!! Forever grateful.

Sounds expensive. Does my insurance cover the testing and imaging?
Let’s face it… In today’s pace, we need all the help we can get to prioritize our health. Having convenient and reliable healthcare at your doorstep is not covered by insurance, but it is affordable. What’s not affordable is declining ocular health that is preventable. Often times, regular testing and exams not only help preserve vision and ocular health, but also help identify and monitor other systemic health issues, such as diabetes. Depending on your insurance policy and the services rendered, your insurance may “cover” some of the expense. Any copays or deductibles due for services “covered” by your insurance will be collected by your doctor. Mobile Eyes doesn’t file to insurance because well, they don’t pay for convenience and time-saving services. We will be happy to provide you with any documentation that your insurance may request if you file a reimbursement claim. Just send us an email to Focus@MobileEyesLab.com with what is needed and we’ll get it right over to you, at no cost.
How soon will I know the results of the testing and imaging?
We securely and digitally return the tests and images to your doctor as soon as possible with our goal being within 48 hours. Your doctor’s office will contact you with the results and that timeframe can vary.
